Job Title: Application Analyst

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Application Analyst with specialized expertise in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) applications and IT support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting EMR systems, familiarity with clinical terminologies, and proficiency in providing technical support within healthcare IT environments. Additionally, experience with Office 365 administration and support will be advantageous. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation of EMR systems and other IT infrastructure components.

Responsibilities:

  • EMR Application Support:
  • Provide technical expertise in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of EMR applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to EMR software functionality, performance, and integration with other systems.
  • Collaborate with end-users and stakeholders to understand requirements and optimize EMR workflows.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in EMR usage.
  • Train new users on the functionality and best practices of EMR applications, ensuring smooth onboarding and proficiency.
  • Office 365 Administration:
  • Manage and administer Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Support end-users with Office 365 applications, troubleshooting issues, and providing guidance on best practices.
  • Monitor system health, implement security measures, and perform routine maintenance tasks within the Office 365 environment.
  • Clinical Terminology:
  • Possess an understanding of clinical terminologies, such as ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED CT, and LOINC.
  • Assist in the mapping and standardization of clinical data across EMR systems and other healthcare applications.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and informaticists to ensure accurate representation and interpretation of clinical data.

IT Support:

  • Provide general IT support and assistance to end-users across the organization.
  • Participate in the resolution of helpdesk tickets, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
  • Provide support and implementation for new health applications, ensuring smooth integration with existing IT infrastructure and workflows.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT policies, procedures, and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or related field experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting EMR applications in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in administering and supporting Office 365 services.
  • Familiarity with clinical terminologies and healthcare data standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-oriented approach to service delivery.
  • Certifications such as EMR Systems certifications, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent are desirable but not required.
